We have moved!

The Adventures of Mr. Biped started almost 5 years back, when I moved from India to Vancouver.

Over the years, these adventures have taken me across continents, introduced me to unique cuisines and helped me make new friends. Friends who eventually joined in my adventures.

With your love and support, we’ve finally decided to take the plunge and move to our very own address in cyber space!

Come on over to “The Adventures of Mr. Biped” and say HI! 🙂

Hiking around the Lushington waterfalls

Unchalli Falls, also known as Lushington Falls, is a waterfall created by a 116 metres (381 ft) drop in the Aghanashini river. The fall is located near Siddapur in Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka, India. The falls are named for J. D. Lushington, a District Collector for the British Government, who discovered the falls in 1845.[1]

Heggarne, a hamlet in Uttara Kannada district, 35 km from Siddapur. The falls are reached by a 5 kilometer (3.1 mi) trek from Heggarne through thick forest. Here the river makes a cavalcade of water falls and eventually leaps into a steep valley to form a spectacular, picturesque waterfall. The falls are sometimes called Keppa Joga because of the deafening sound they make.

The Antara Gange Caves

Antara Gange is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka. Antara Gange literally means “Ganges from deep” in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for the temple situated on the mountain. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull).[1] There is a steep, narrow path to the top of the mountain. There are seven villages on this mountain, including Therhalli. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around.
